Ziwa la Ngombe Primary School
Completed in 2001
Our first project was the renovation, building one new block, providing toilets and desks for this school in Bombolulu Division, North Coast, Mombasa in 2000. The School had 650 children in 12 classes and only 200 desks. There was no flooring, the walls were made of mud and coral with no plaster.
We undertook to put concrete flooring, plaster & paint the classrooms, add greenery to the environment, put soft boards in each classroom. We also added a library and classroom together with a new headmaster’s office and store and a toilet block to for the children who at that time had one toilet between 650 kids.
